Great Things Happening

Samsung Day of Caring/Day of Fun!

75 Samsung Engineers (software, electrical, industrial) met with students at THJ, MSI and TMS to participate in hands on planning and building activities.

Legacy Senior builds garden beds for PK classes!

Mrs. Oranday's son, Anthony Oranday, built garden beds as his Eagle Scout Project for his mom's Pre-K3 classes and for the ECSE classes at TH Johnson. The Pre-K3 classes have prepared their garden bed and planted their seedlings and seeds. Thank you Anthony, our little ducks can't wait to see their garden grow!

Students raise almost $500 for local Animal Shelter

Ms. Roth’s pre-k class and Ms. Jaecks’ kindergarten class presented about $500 on behalf of TH Johnson Elementary School to kittens, Tak and Tok, and their friend, Susan Davis, to benefit the Taylor Animal Shelter. These two classes collected the most coins during the school’s Coins for Kindness project in honor of Kindness Week.

THJ Book Scavenger Hunt was a success - thank you HEB!

A BIG THANK YOU to the Taylor HEB for donating 20 bags of popcorn to our school! Students went on a book scavenger hunt around campus. Once they found all the books they were able to collect a bag of popcorn, for their class. Quackers is so proud of all of our readers!!

Fun Santa Activities in PreK!

Our little ducks had so much fun learning numbers and letters with Santa themed activities in Mrs. Mynar's PK class! 🎅🤶🦆

Laurie Mynar - TH Johnson Elementary School, Pre-K Teacher

I strongly believe in Taylor ISD's mission statement and vision. Taylor ISD will continue to be an amazing school district for students, staff, and the community. Once a duck, always a duck! It's a great school district to work for due to the amazing leadership, wonderful school morale on the campuses, and the community feels like one, big family. I love working for Taylor ISD because I love the positivity, the encouragement, and the support I get as a teacher for doing what's best for students.
